meQuilibrium is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our exciting and fast-paced company in
Boston. In this role, you will be focused on supporting the financial activity of the business.
meQuilibrium is a startup environment with a flat structure: you will interface directly with
stakeholders across different disciplines. Essential for your success are proactive
communications, flexibility, and creative thinking and problem-solving.

The Staff Accountant’s responsibilities will include all financial transactions of the business,
maintenance of the general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations. This is a deadline driven
environment. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, great communication skills and a desire
to learn are necessary to succeed in this role.

What you’ll do:
• Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of payables including substantiating financial
transactions by auditing documents to ensure appropriate approvals
• Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of customer billings and collections
• Run payroll, ensure correct benefit calculations, and manage payroll tax compliance with ADP
• 1099 Processing
• Calculate monthly commissions
• Manage credit card receipts and enter into Quickbooks
• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconciliations and various accounting schedules as part of
the month-end close process
• Assists the VP of Finance in preparation of the annual audit, annual tax filings and other
compliance audits as required
• Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

Who you are:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 2-5 years with strong understanding of GAAP
• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal
communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• A highly analytical self-starter with the ability to resolve problems independently
• Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and
constantly evolving environment
• Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status
with respect to deadlines
• Ability to see existing processes, find their true value and make them more efficient and
valuable to the business
• Public accounting or public/private company corporate accounting experience a plus; Tech
industry experience a plus
• CPA or working towards completing a CPA a plus
• Previous experience with Quickbooks, Expensify, ADP and Mineral Tree a plus
