meQuilibrium is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our exciting and fast-paced
company in Boston. As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be focused on supporting the
financial activity of the business.

meQuilibrium is a startup environment with a flat structure: you will interface directly with

The Senior Staff Accountant’s responsibilities will include all aspects of the general ledger and
month-end close. This is a deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical skills, attention to
detail, great communication skills and a desire to learn are necessary to succeed in this role.

What you’ll do:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Manage account analysis, reconciliations and various accounting schedules as part of the
month-end close process
• Responsible for the timely and accurate entry of Accounts Payables
• Responsible for the timely and accurate customer billings and collections
• Run payroll/payroll tax compliance and benefit calculations GLT
• 1099 Processing
• Calculate monthly commissions
• Manage credit card receipts and enter into Quickbooks
• Marketing budget to actual Respond to budget vs actual inquires
• Revenue calculations and deferred revenue reconciliation
• Monthly journal entries and reconciliation of G/L accounts
• Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions
are executed according to GAAP principles
• Compile and analyze large volumes of data for reporting
• Provide support during the annual audit, annual tax filings and other compliance audits as
• Complete special projects as needed and other duties assigned

Who you are
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5-7 years with strong understanding of GAAP
• Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal
communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• A highly analytical self-starter with the ability to resolve problems independently
• Must be detail and results-oriented with an ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced, and
constantly evolving environment
• Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status
with respect to deadlines
• Ability to see existing processes, find their true value and make them more efficient and
valuable to the business
• Big 4 public accounting or public/private company corporate accounting experience a plus;
Tech industry experience a plus
• CPA or working towards completing a CPA a plus
• Previous experience with Quickbooks and/or Mineral Tree a plus
